Beechcraft Model 76 DuchessA four-seat, twin-engine aircraft featuring constant speed propellers and retractable undercarriage, the Duchess is an ideal platform for multi-engine and instrument training. Reliable, safe, and very simple to fly, this aircraft provides sufficient challenges to teach students advanced skills without overloading them.
Cessna 172M and 172XPThe Cessna 172 is the safest and most successful mass-produced, single-engine light aircraft ever built. Eagle Flight Training maintains a fleet of Cessna 172 training aircraft, each featuring a slighting different configuration. For instance, the 172XP is a high-performance model. Between them, our fleet of Cessna 172s provide a consistent training platform offering a wealth of flying experiences for our students.
Piper Warrior PA 28The PA 28 is a low wing aircraft widely used for basic training. Capable of flying under visual and instrument conditions, our fleet of Piper Warriors provide the students with an opportunity to train under varying conditions in a reliable aircraft and carry passengers along on long flights.
Robinson R22 Beta II helicopterOne of the world's most popular two-seat helicopters, the R22 holds major performance records in its weight class, including speed and distance. Renowned for their safety and reliability, Robinsons are the helicopter of choice for flight training.
Robinson R44 Raven II helicopterThe luxury ‘big brother’ to the R22, the 4-seat R44 delivers enough performance to challenge the student pilot while providing a tough and reliable flight training platform.
Aircraft maintenanceOur Ardmore-based maintenance contractor, Aero Technology (‘Aerotech’), maintains all of our aircraft to the highest standards of airworthiness, safety, and reliability. Aerotech is one of the largest and most reputable aircraft maintenance businesses at Ardmore Airport, servicing the main flying schools, many private aircraft, and the historical ex-military aircraft of the New Zealand Warbirds Association. All of Aerotech’s Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers are CAA-certified to service the light aircraft that we operate. Eagle Flight Training has its own CAA-approved maintenance schedule that ensures every part of every aircraft is thoroughly inspected during every 200 hours of flight time. And every year, each of our aircraft undergoes an Annual Review of Airworthiness (ARA), which makes sure the aircraft airframe, engine, and propeller logbooks are correct, and all specified maintenance has been completed. ![]() |
