A good flying career of a pilot is built on high quality training and flying experience. Mr. Lester Banzon joined us with absolutely no flying experience and little knowledge of flying. Over the past two years, he has gone through all the modules of the New Zealand Diploma in Aviation. Mr. Banzon now has approximately 300 hours of flying time and is perfectly positioned to enter the aviation industry as a fully qualified instructor with additional privilege of night instruction. During the training, he also gained a lot of additional knowledge and skills such as winter flying, multi engine flying and glass cockpit training.
The New Zealand Diploma in Aviation is an NZQA approved, Level 6 qualification, that includes following courses:
- Private Pilot Licence (PPL) course;
- Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) course;
- Instrument Rating (IFR) course;
- Flight Instructor (C-Cat) course;
- Multi Crew Coordination (MCC) course (Optional).
- ATPL theory (Optional)
We offer a good training environment, professional instructors, Diamond aircraft fleet with glass cockpit and two flight simulators, one of which, is a Boeing 737-800 fixed base simulator, for MCC training. A big advantage for international students is that the successful completion of the NZ Diploma in Aviation also makes a student eligible for an NZ work visa.
