For many pilots, securing that first job opportunity is the most challenging part of their aviation career. But having a high number of flight hours and solid experience makes the process a lot easier, and the best way to obtain this is by becoming a qualified flight instructor. This is exactly what Patrick Ajith had in mind when he started Flight instructor training programme at Eagle Flight Training along with other students. In July 2014, Patrick became a qualified flight instructor, Category C and has joined our team to deliver high quality flight training to our students.

In just 16 weeks, Patrick went from being another Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) holder to being a qualified flight instructor. Completion of the Flight Instructor Rating also means that Patrick has now completed the New Zealand Diploma in Aviation which is a Level 6, NZQA qualification, making him eligible for a New Zealand Graduate Job search work visa. Patrick believes this is the best way in which he could start off his career as a pilot and looks forward to gaining lots of information and flying experience while he is with us.

Our Flight Instructor Training Program is open to all pilots who hold a New Zealand Commercial Pilot Licence. In case you hold an overseas CPL, first we will help you convert your overseas CPL to an NZ CPL and then train you as a New Zealand flight instructor.

Don’t worry if you haven’t got your Commercial Pilot Licence yet, we can help you with that as well. If you want to know more about any of our training programs, please contact us and we will do our best to help you achieve your dreams. We train students for Private Pilot Licence, Commercial Pilot Licence, Instrument Rating, Instructor Rating, Multi Engine training and NZ Diploma in Aviation.
