Airline ready pilots are well prepared, focussed and dedicated – qualities which we encourage in every pilot who trains with us. With the sole aim of becoming a professional pilot, Mr. Surya Anggah Himawan joined us earlier this year and is working hard towards achieving his goal through thorough preparation, and hard work. Mr. Himawan recently flew his first solo flight which brought him one step closer towards realising his dream of becoming an airline pilot.

There are approximately 1,600 aircraft currently operating in South East Asia. For each new plane, airlines need to hire and train at least 10 – 12 pilots. Every week, a combined total of 28 new planes are assembled at Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier and Embraer factories – the fastest production rate ever. Most of these aircraft will be put to work in Asia. Boeing projects that the Asia – Pacific region will need around 216,000 new pilots in the next 20 years.

Eagle Flight Training prepares pilots for the Commercial Pilot Licence, Instrument Rating and Multi Engine training. For pilots who wish to be airline ready, we also offer ATPL theory training and Multi Crew Coordination training or for those wanting to become a flight instructor, we offer the Flight Instructor training programme. Eagle Flight Training also delivers the NZ Diploma in Aviation (NZQA level 6 qualification).
