Eagle Flight Training has been approved by Vietnam Airlines to train its future pilots. This programme is designed to create airline-ready pilots and  we will train you up to the level at which Vietnam Airlines will recruit you. It is conducted over 52 weeks in Auckland, New Zealand. Accommodation and airport pick are arranged by Eagle Flight Training and included in the training package.

Our eligibility requirements are:

  • You should be at least 18 years of age or above
  • You must be a citizen of Vietnam
  • You must have completed high school
  • Have English proficiency to a minimum of TOEIC 600 or IELST 5.0 or ICAO level 4
  • You are eligible to hold a CAAV and NZCAA aviation medical

This programme will allow students to adopt Vietnam Airlines culture and operational procedures. Our mission is to get work done on time and we have the capacity to support this.

Enroll now with a copy of your passport, high school mark sheet and English language proficiency report or Contact us if you have any questions. As part of the enrollment process, we will asses your documents and give you a feedback. If you any prior flight experience, we will also need a copy of your logbook. If successful in the enrollment, Eagle Flight Training will offer you a place in the next available intake. Once you have accepted the offer, you must proceed to apply for the student visa. We will assist you with paperwork and guide you through the process.

The training will start from the basic level on single engine aircraft to Commercial Pilot License (CPL) and continue to multi engine aircraft training with instrument rating. During the last phase students will study advanced Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) theory undergo and Multi Crew Coordination (MCC) training on a modern flight simulator. Training delivered at Eagle Flight Training will also incorporate Vietnam Airlines operation procedures and disciplines.

The 52 weeks period of intensive study, conducted by a team of experienced professionals, is made up of a combination of theory and practical training . Theory training towards the CPL and ATPL subjects include more than 850 hours of instruction and 450 hours of self study during which you cover subjects like radio communication, air law, navigation, aerodynamics, meteorology and instruments. By the completion of the practical flight training each student will have minimum

  • Flight time: 215 hours
  • Multi engine time: 40 hurs
  • Simulator time: 40 – 60 hours
  • Instrument time: 85 hours

The objective of this programme is to prepare a pilot for further Airbus or Boeing type ratings at Vietnam Airlines Flight Training Center.

Graduates will gain:

  • New Zealand Commercial Pilot Licence (NZ CPL).
  • New Zealand Instrument Rating (IFR).
  • ATPL Frozen Certificate.
  • Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) Certificate.

Flight hours and theory ground classes designed to meet VNA requirements.
