Instrument Rating is critical for a competent pilot.

An Instrument Flight Rating (IFR) allows a pilot to fly in and above clouds, with sole reference the instruments in the aircraft. It is essential for all airline pilots to hold an Instrument Rating and we encourage all students to be Instrument rated pilots. OOne of our most recent Instrument rated pilots, Mr. Phan Danh Dat, believes that the Instrumenting has made him a more competent and situationally aware pilot.. Mr. Nguyen Tien Chinh, a Vietnamese cadet pilot says, that the experience he gained through IFR flying is most helpful to his future career with Vietnam Airlines.

Eagle Flight Training offers single engine instrument rating on the Diamond DA40 aircraft and multi engine instrument rating on the Piper Comanche Twin PA 30. Both are glass cockpit aircraft with Garmin 1000 (G1000). Equipped with the latest technology and advanced instruments, these are ideal aircraft for training to fly under IFR conditions.

Eagle Flight Training also provides pilot training for the Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Multi Engine rating and Flight Instructor Rating. For pilots who wish to be airline ready pilots, we also offer First Officer pilot training, which includes CPL, ATPL theory training and Multi Crew Coordination (MCC) training. Eagle Flight Training also delivers the New Zealand Diploma in Aviation (NZQA level 6 qualification).

Multi Crew Coordination training in a Boeing 737 simulator.

An airline ready pilot must know how to fly in a Multi Crew environment. He should also be familiar with jet aircraft. Vietnam Airlines cadets achieve this at Eagle Flight Training by completing the ground training and all simulator training in a real Being 737 simulator. In this picture, you see our most recent graduate, Mr. Nugyen Tien Chinh and his fellow Vietnam Airlines cadet, Mr. Pham Dai Thanh, during a Multi Crew Coordination (MCC) training session.

MCC training generally covers team work, task sharing, use of checklists, division of responsibilities. It teaches young pilots to work together and maintain a safe, alert atmosphere in the cockpit.
