As well as your completed application form, you need to send us the following documentation:

  • Enrollment form;
  • Valid passport;
  • Valid class 1 medical certificate;
  • ADAPT test result;
  • High school results;
  • Certificates of previously achieved qualifications
  • Evidence of English language Proficiency or IELST test result;
  • Aviation Certificates;
  • Zealand Aviation medical results (If available);
  • Any other documents supporting your application;

After receiving the registration form, we will assess your potential ability to pilot an aircraft with an entry test including these following factors:

  • Proficiency of English
  • Personal, behavioral traits and competencies
  • Cognitive abilities and skills;
  • Mutual supervision;
  • Optimum decision making under emergency conditions;
  • Ability to control under pressure;

Acceptance letter and applying for visa

After completing the application and the ADAPT test, you will receive via mail the acceptance letter issued by Eagle Flight Training. This is a testament to your ability. You will then start your training course. We understand that selecting and applying to a flight school, and arranging travel and housing, if necessary, can be very stressful, but our facility assists students in each detail so that the transition is simple and easy. We have several options about accommodation such as dormitory (with full amenities), homestay or self-sustainability. We will pick up students at Auckland Airport and provide shuttle service throughout the training process.

After receiving the acceptance letter, you will be able to make an appointment with the visa officer at the NZ Embassy prior to the time you plan to start flight training. We provide full assistance to students from the beginning till its successful completion. Getting acceptance letter from our school will be a favorable condition in the process of applying for your visa.

Enrolment

Once the visa is obtained, you can arrive in New Zealand – a peaceful country with one of the highest quality of life in the world. Here you will spend at least 52 weaks of training with our flight instructors who have professional qualifications as well as practical experience. Eagle Flight Training has been approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (NZCAA) to conduct all training courses including PPL (Private Pilot License), IFR (Instrument Rating), CPL (Commercial Pilot License), ATPL (Air Transport Pilot License – theory) and MCC (Multi Crew Cooperation). For those who want to use their own light aircraft and enjoy the pleasure of flight, or want to go further and pursue a professional aviation career, these licenses are mandatory. A great advantage for students after graduation is that certificates issued by Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (NZCAA) are accepted and highly appreciated in many countries all over the world.

Conditions of registration

– At least 18 years old at course commencement.

– Education: Graduated from high school.

– English Language Proficiency

+ IELTS or equivalent with a score of 6 (no bands less than 5.5) for the Level 6 Diploma Programmes.

+ IELTS or equivalent with a score of 5.5 (no bands less than 5.0) for the Level 5 Training Scheme.

– Immigration: All international students must hold a Student Visa to study in NZ. This can be obtained via www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/options/study upon receiving your Offer of Place from Eagle Flight Training

– Medical: Students must obtain a Class 1 CAANZ Medical. Please see the list of approved doctors on the CAA website or discuss with our International Recruitment Manager. If an approved doctor is not accessible to you, contact our enrolment team for more info
